From the Quito airport to Mindo you should expect around 3 hours travel time. The cost for a taxi is around $50 one way from outside the airport. The airport taxis may charge more. Round trip would be slightly less than double that.
To go by bus the easiest way is to go back into Quito city and catch a bus from there.
